On September 22-24, the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission hosted an orientation for the newly arrived Fulbright U.S. Grantees 2017/2018. The days were tightly packed with workshops, panels, presentations and cultural events, aimed to guide the “fresh off the boat” U.S. Scholars, ETAs and Students through various aspects of adapting to life in Poland as well as through the history of Poland and its almost centennial relations with the U.S. The grantees had an opportunity to learn about a wide range of issues such as conducting research and lectures at a Polish institution, opening a bank account or the meaning of being an American and a Fulbrighter in Poland.
Among the presenters there were representatives from the US Embassy Warsaw, representatives of higher education institutions, alumni of the Program as well as other partners and friends of the Commission.
We are truly delighted to have such an excellent group of Fulbrighters, and we look forward to seeing what they achieve and learn throughout the upcoming year! Good luck!
