Pre-departure orientation for Polish grantees

On Friday, May 12 the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission organized a pre-departure orientation for 33 Polish Fulbright grantees, who will soon leave to study, conduct research, and teach at American universities in the 2017/18 academic year.

The full-day program was tightly packed with meetings and panels aimed to guide Polish student and scholar grantees through various visa and grant procedures as well as different aspects of studying and living in the U.S. We are grateful to our guest speakers, who are also Fulbright alumni, for sharing their American experiences and providing invaluable advice to the new cohort. We’d like to thank Agata Cieszewska and her daughter, Zuzanna, Eliza Chilimoniuk-Przeździecka, Marta Jarczewska, Artur Filip, and Joanna Socha.

We are proud to have such an excellent group of Polish ambassadors traveling to the U.S. in the upcoming academic year and we truly hope they are now fully prepared to embark on their American adventure!
