Joanna Kaiser

Joanna Kaiser graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (1991). Since graduation, she has worked at her alma mater, currently as Professor of Fine Arts where she runs a diploma-granting drawing workshop. She was awarded a Fulbright grant to the University of Connecticut (2000-01). The artist specializes in painting, graphic arts and drawing. Her works have been on display at numerous exhibitions worldwide including “Plasticity of Vision” at Zalubowski Gallery, Krakow (2019), “The Future at Last: Contemporary Artists from Poland,” at Benetton Foundation, Accademia Polacca delle Scienze, Rome (2017), “Tradition and Contemporaneity: Prints and Drawings from Krakow,” at Elizabethtown College’s Hess Gallery, USA (2016), “Prints from Poland” at Harrisburg Area Community College’s (HACC) Rose Lehrman Art Gallery, USA (2016), and “Freegeneration,” at the 40th Annual Southern Graphics International Conference in New Orleans, USA (2012). Kaiser is a laureate of many prestigious awards including the Jubilee Award for 25 years of work (2017), the Second Degree Award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts for artistic and didactic achievements (2012), and the Silver Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland (2012). Currently, she is a co-author of “Nature is My Homeland” project (2019-21) funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) at the University of Belgrade, the University of Alabama.
