We are pleased to announce that Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland Jarosław Gowin appointed Dr. Aleksander Dańda to the Board of Directors of the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission.
Aleksander Dańda received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the Jagiellonian University (the Faculty of International and Political Studies). From 2016 Director of the Department of Science at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Associate Professor at the Department of Public Administration in Cracow University of Economics. In the years 2009-2012 Dean of the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences at the Tischner European University in Cracow. Former Deputy Director in the Department of Higher Education at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. A visiting scholar e.g. at the University of London and the University of Limerick. Author of publications on countries from Anglo-Saxon cultural sphere of influence, such as a monograph entitled Dominion – A Form of Political Regime in Anglo-Saxon Countries (TEU Press). Editor of Current Challenges to Peacekeeping Efforts and Development Assistance (TEU Press). Co-author of a recent monograph Ombudsman Institutions in Anglo-Saxon Countries Against a Comparative Background (Wydawnictwo Sejmowe). His main research areas include Anglo-Saxon countries-related topics such as: public administration, contemporary political systems, geopolitics and problems of contemporary international security.
Dr. Dańda succeeded Prof. Łukasz Szumowski, who stepped down from the position following his appointment as the Minister of Health at the beginning of January. We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Minister Szumowski for over a year-long cooperation and chairmanship of the Board. We wish him good luck on his new assignment!
