Prior to switching to Public Diplomacy, Mr. Wolfe was a State Department economic officer and trade negotiator, serving in the Western Hemisphere Affairs bureau and on a detail to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. He has also served as the economic officer on the Cuba desk. Previous tours include as head of the Mostar branch office of the U.S. Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina (1997-1999), as well as Bonn, Berlin, and Warsaw.He has an M.S. from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a B.A. from the College of William and Mary, also studied at UCLA. Mr Wolfe speaks Polish, German, Ukrainian, and Spanish.
James Wolfe replaced Mr. Frank Finver at the Board. Mr. Finver has already completed his service in the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and returned to the USA.
