On September 23-27, the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission had the pleasure to organize a series of info sessions for our incoming 2019-20 U.S. Fulbright grantees upon their arrival in Poland.
During these several days of orientation, our American grantees participated in numerous sessions, panels and workshops regarding both formal procedures of the Fulbright Program, higher education system in Poland, teaching methodology workshops, as well as sessions inviting them to participate in different initiatives that aim to deepen the Polish-American cooperation. They also had a chance to participate in an official welcoming reception hosted by the U.S. Embassy, Deputy Chief of Mission, Bix Aliu, as well take part in a cooking class that allowed them to discover some secrets of Polish cuisine, such as how to make pierogi.
This year, 43 U.S. Fulbright grantees will teach and conduct research in diverse fields, such as bioengineering, public health, literature, music and many others at Polish institutions of higher education in cities that include Warszawa, Kraków, Gdańsk, Poznań, Bydgoszcz, Lublin, Wrocław, Białystok, Łomża, Łódź, Opole, Chełm, Toruń and Rzeszów.
