On April 12 the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission hosted a pre-departure orientation for for 2019-20 Polish Fulbright grantees. The schedule was packed with meetings and panels aimed to guide Polish students and scholars through various formal procedures and different aspects of studying and living in the U.S. We are grateful to our guest speakers – Fulbright alumni Joanna Mąkowska, Jan Szumski, Piotr Urbański and Wojciech Dragan – for sharing their American experiences and providing valuable advice to the new grantees.
Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission granted 62 scholarships for Polish citizens: 24 for visiting scholars, 22 for visiting student researchers and 16 for graduate students. Scholarships are funded by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and U.S. Department of State. List of grantees is available here.
