Elisa Gonzalez is a Puerto Rican essayist and poet. She has a B.A. in literature from Yale University and an M.F.A. in creative writing from New York University. Her awards and fellowships include grants from the Norman Mailer Foundation and the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. Her prose and poetry has appeared in publications such as Harvard ReviewNarrative, and The New Yorker online. She is working on her first book and researching models for political engagement in post-war Polish poetry, as well as collaborating with the Zbigniew Herbert Foundation on Polish-American literary exchange.
